Network share as data location not working

Hi,

I just went from Windows 7 with stickies 8.0c to Windows 10 with Stickies 9.0e

In stickies v8 I had my data lying on a network share on my NAS, so the path was i.e. \\nasserver\share\stickies, however v9.0e does not accept network shares anymore which is bad for me, any chance to get his back again?

You should still be able to use a network location - if you read this KB article:

It describes how to set an empty alternate data location. Reverse it, and instead put the data location you want to use in that Path key, and when you restart Stickies, the path you supply will be used.

No sorry, this is what I had in Stickies v8, but on v9 UNC paths are no more accepted, Stickes starts with an error message instead. I tried both ways, even setting this directly in the registry does not work anymore (which worked for me in v8).

Network shares worked fine in v9.0c but now that I've upgraded to v10.0c I receive the same error. Is it possible to fix this?
